I am a Visiting Assistant Professor at University of California Center Sacramento. I study the nature and origins of partisan conflict and polarization in American politics. More broadly, I am interested in the relationships between chief executives, legislatures, and the electorate. My research has been published in Political Research Quarterly, Legislative Studies Quarterly, and Constitutional Political Economy. I received my Ph.D. in political science from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in June 2017.
